“GETTING TO YES” WITH ZIMBABWE ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPANY ( ZAMCO)

This “Getting to Yes” Negotiation workshop conducted by the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy anchored on critical facets for a negotiation genius which included, Inter Alia , the 5Ps encompassing prepare, probe, possibilities, propose and partner. The practicals and discussions also encompassed the 5 steps to a negotiation process: Preparation and Planning; Definition of Ground Rules; Clarification and Justification;  Bargaining and Problem; Solving, Closure and Implementation.

Salient aspects unravelled during this practically simulated training where Diplomatic Skills, Negotiation Protocols and Tools of Statecraft which included among others Diplomacy, Persuasion, Rhetoric, Biorhythmic analysis, Storytelling and  Agenda Setting. 

The workshop facilitated by Mr V. A Chikanda a negotiation expect with wide Diplomatic and UN Experience went beyond the Negotiation paradigm to encapsulate negotiation team construction, sitting charts, role designation and the foundations of BATANA, WATNA and ZOPA. 

The workshop was one in a series of Capacity Development Programme tailored for ZAMCO.
